Climate Catastrophe Tipping Point is at Our Doorstep.

There are no effective solutions to avoid the inevitable: self reinforcing climate disasters will feed upon themselves and produce an exponential increase in climate disasters.

Everyone is waiting for the governments to do something to save us, but that won’t happen because are overly influenced by large corporations and moneyed interests who demand a large return on their investments in exchange for their cooperation.

But there are two potential solutions:

1. All Western governments have an epiphany and realize that climate action MUST be the top priority and create laws and incentives to force people and companies to change their ways.
2. Develop and deploy technologies which make climate action the profitable option that overwhelmingly produces not only climate change mitigation, but delivers large benefits to those who adopt the technology.

Item one was a one liner from a standup comic I once heard.

Number two is possible.  All it takes is a determined focus, a charismatic leader, and a few billion dollars in startup costs.

Focus1—In 2022 a 15 million acre Canadian fire produced as much greenhouse gases as all the other earthly sources combined. Fighting wild fires of that magnitude is entirely possible with large firefighting drones such that we could literally end the era of major Western wild fires with that technology.  And, as billions of dollars a year are spent in Canada and the U.S. fighting those fires, a very profitable business could be developed.

Focus2—Solar has had great success at reducing the cost of energy and reduction of fossil fueled power plants. But a more massive deployment is not a reasonable long term solution as the technologies involved are relatively short lived(10 to 20 years), do not have a viable solution for energy storage on a massive scale, and are still much too expensive for ordinary people to sign up for. Part of the solution is to create technologies that engage everyone as a method of expanding the solution.  There is another solar energy solution which converts sunlight to grid energy at more than twice the efficiency of photovoltaics and stores  four times as much energy as lithium batteries at one fourth the cost.

Standby, Programmed Power is going to focus and make a huge contribution to climate change solutions.
